What's with the sizing?

"I have been buying Dansko for over 20 years. I buy them because they reliably fit and I also like their designs and quality. But what's the deal with these? I bought my normal size (37) and they were about 3/4 in too long. And also felt narrow. I exchanged for the 36, which I've never worn, and while the length was right, the width was so narrow, it was crushing the front of my foot. The only person who could wear these shoes would have to be someone with long, narrow feet. Dansko bombed on this one"

Good purchase

"I read the mixed reviews but decided to buy the shoes anyway. I find them comfortable after wearing at work all day. They seem a little loose in the heel and when I tightened the strap a little tight on the top but I’m sure they will break in over time. It is a little weird manually bucking the shoes instead of Velcro but that doesn’t bother me. Overall I like the shoes and I would buy them again."

cute but could be more comfortable

"These ran a full size too big for me so I exchanged. I ordered them because I love my Dansko Fawna mary janes and thought these would be similar. They're not a cushy and use a manual buckle closure where I've gotten spoiled with the velcro closure on the other shoes. They look sharp though peeking under my jeans! and they're waterproof which is a plus."

"This shoe fits very nicely. Like all Dansko shoes, they are very comfortable. I just wish they were more stylish—they look matronly. But comfort outweighs style."

The sole material is inferior

"I rellay love my many styles of Dansko mary janes over the years. I have purchased 2 pairs of the Dierdra shoes. The material on the sole of the heal wore out down to the heel material within 2 months both times. I did have a shoe repair replace the heel portion of the sole, but the rest of the sole had worn, although not as much, enough to make the shoe uncomfortable. The repair cost nearly as much as the shoes, but since they were only a couple months old, I was willing to try it. After over 25 years, I jumped to another brand, as I cannot justify a perfectly good shoe becoming unwearable within 2 months. Makes me sad. I really miss my canvas Mary Janes. I would love to see them come back."
