Podiatrist Approved! Dansko Collections Receive APMA Seal
WEST GROVE, Pennsylvania—Dansko is proud to announce its Acadia and Belmont collections have received the Seal of Acceptance from the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). The APMA is the premier professional organization representing the nation's Doctors of Podiatric Medicine, or podiatrists. The Seal of Acceptance is used to designate footwear, hosiery and other foot-related products that promote good foot health.
The average American’s foot pain often gets in the way of daily activities. Perhaps no group suffers from chronic foot pain more than those who are constantly on their feet.
“The excess strain put on the legs and feet of those standing for long periods of time can take a massive toll on the body—especially for those working in the health care community,” said APMA President Ronald Jensen
That is why Dansko is proud to offer footwear that is not only comfortable but supports the entire body.
The Acadia collection, which first began shipping to retailers in August, has a lightweight base and lower profile designed to fit a woman with an active lifestyle. The collection features a removable triple density molded EVA insole which not only provides exceptional comfort but allows wearers to use custom orthotics, if needed, and a slip-resistant outsole making it perfect for those spending time in areas where liquid may be present.
A heel collection that actually supports good foot health may sound like a bit of an oxymoron but Dansko’s Belmont Collection is just that. Featuring a sleek silhouette and a very wearable 2–5/8 inch heel, the Belmont collection is a perfect choice for working women everywhere. This versatile collection is available in beautiful hand-antiqued brown or classic black leathers.
Acadia and Belmont are not the only Dansko collections to be recognized by the APMA. For a complete listing of accepted Dansko shoes please see Dansko.com under Product Certifications.
