Dansko Footwear Introduces Kid's Clog Collection
West Grove, PA: Just in time for Back to School, Dansko, a leader in innovative comfort footwear, is introducing a new children's collection. Available at retailers nationwide, the new collection features the same foot health components that have made the adult version a must have for anyone standing for long hours.
"Being in the kids' business was a natural and logical extension of our core expertise," says Mandy Cabot, Dansko co-founder and CEO. "We have detailed, intimate knowledge of what a great clog is. We didn’t see that there was anyone else who knew how to do this better than us."
Like all Dansko shoes, the children’s version has Dansko’s signature rocker bottom, contoured footbed and roomy toe box. These elements provide a supportive environment for the foot and keep the legs and back in proper alignment. However for the children’s version, a lighter, lower outsole was used and the base was widened to give the shoe more stability; making it easier to run and jump in.
"For this collection we wanted to keep the elements that worked from our adult lines but make sure we thought everything through with the children's growing feet in mind," says Cabot.
Dansko children's clogs are available in a range of materials - high color, glossy patents to supple leathers in muted tones perfect for uniform dress codes. On a base of durable polyurethane, the entire collection features easy-on-easy off designs tailored to a kid's active lifestyle.
