Just in time for summer fun, Momentum Magazine, the "voice of bicycle lifestyle," released a "Summer Essentials" packing guide. Must-have items include a bathing suit, tote bag, bike lock and, for days filled with comfort and support, our Dana sandal.

In April, leading business publication CFO Magazine featured Dansko in a special report on sustainability. 2013 FREDDY Award Winners
West Grove, PA.: Dansko announced its annual FREDDY award winners, recognizing three independent shoe stores for creating an exceptional merchandising experience in-store. The nationwide initiative offered awards for three categories: implementing an effective Dansko sales event, designing a creative, on-brand window or tabletop display and configuring an original, brand-oriented slatwall.

“Dansko values its retail partners and recognizes that independent retail stores are critical to our sales strategy,” said Mark Diehl, Dansko Senior Vice President of Sales. “Our award winners demonstrated exceptional creativity and thoughtfulness, encouraging their consumers to think about Dansko in new and meaningful ways. We’re privileged to celebrate each of their efforts with FREDDY Awards for retail excellence.”

Members of the Dansko Marketing and Sales teams selected winners based on photo submissions received from Dansko retailers nationwide, with one independent store honored in each category.

Potter’s Shoes, located in Huron, S.D., was named the event category winner for hosting “Salsa Fever”. The event included hourly drawings and gifts, salsa demos and a display of spring and fall Dansko styles, as presented by a Dansko sales representative. Founded in 1941 by Keith Potter, Potter’s Shoes takes pride in offering an “old school” shopping experience providing high-quality products and attentive service.

Careway Wellness Center earned recognition in the window or tabletop category, designing a paint-themed window display made with clogs from Dansko’s XP and Stapled Clog collections. The display featured bright cans and paintbrushes, used to highlight the diversity of clog patterns, colors and materials offered by Dansko. Located in Woburn., M.A., just 20 minutes north of Boston, Careway carries high-quality medical products for active, independent living and personal health care needs.

Avon Shoes and Orthopedic Center of Watertown, N.Y., was selected as the slatwall category winner. Dansko recognized the retailer for designing a creative, brand-oriented slatwall, placing Dansko flats, boots and clogs into a Thanksgiving-themed display. Avon offers expert fitting, personalized service and prescription-filled shoes, ideal for every footwear need.
